How to access Murano if you already have a Portals-powered business.

Introduction

We have noticed for returning users who have created a business profile prior to the Murano platform launch, that they run into an apparent loop within the business interface of Murano. When this manifests, it looks like you can log into Murano, but are then presented with a screen notifying you to request access to Murano. This article will teach you how to move past this obstacle and get up and running on Murano. 

Don't worry, there is nothing wrong with your account, and you shouldn't need to request access to Murano any longer. You have access to Murano already, it is just initially hidden from you. Follow the steps below, and you should be creating a new product and solution in a few minutes. 

Step 1: Log in with your account at www.exosite.io.

There shouldn't be any need to sign-up again. Feel free to log in and and prepare for Step 2.

 

Step 2: Click on the left-hand navigation stack.

In the top-left corner of your screen you should find a small button that looks like three stacked plates. This is the navigation stack. Click on it to access the Murano interface menu. 

 

Step 3: Click on the 'Switch Business' link at the bottom of the navigation pane.

You should find that your screen has darkened, and a new pane has appeared on your screen. In this new pane look for the 'SWITCH BUSINESS' link located on the bottom of the pane and click it. 

 

Step 4: Create a new Murano enabled business. 

You should now be taken to a page, where you can view the businesses of which you are a member. From here you can create a new Murano enabled business, and begin using the platform. Click on the 'Create Business' button to start naming your new business profile. Feel free to name you business anything you would like, there are no uniqueness restrictions. We do however recommend a naming convention, or something that while help you sort your Portals-based businesses from your Murano enabled ones. We often use Murano - <Name> as you will see in the screenshot below:
